Is it just a tasting or will I learn something?
You'll learn throughout the tour. Our host explains Peruvian biodiversity, the history of the market, the influence of migrations on the cuisine, and how to identify quality and freshness in local products.
How many stalls or shops did we visit?
We visited 8 to 10 different traditional stalls within the Magdalena Market and small shops selected for their quality and authenticity
What kind of food will I try?
You will taste exotic fruits, natural juices, Peruvian high-altitude coffee, papa rellena, lomo saltado, traditional ceviche, dim sum (chifa), Peruvian desserts and typical drinks such as chicha morada and Inca Kola
Does it include drinks?
Yes. It includes natural juices, Peruvian coffee, chicha morada, and Inca Kola. Additional drinks are not included.
Do I have to like raw fish?
Not necessarily. Although we tried ceviche, the tour includes many other cooked dishes, fruits, and Creole dishes.
Can they be adapted to allergies or special diets?
With prior notice, we may consider some restrictions. It is not recommended for people with severe allergies to fish, shellfish, or nuts.
How far did we walk?
It's a walking tour within the market and nearby streets, with short stretches and a relaxed pace.
How many people are in each group?
We work with small groups (maximum 8 people) to guarantee a close and personalized experience
What happens if it rains?
The experience takes place rain or shine, as much of the tour is inside the market.
Can I take photos and videos?
Of course. It's a very visual and shareable experience.
Can children participate?
It is primarily intended for adults. Minors may participate when accompanied by an adult.
